A dedicated teacher in the Philippines before immigrating to Canada in 1973. In 2003, the Mabuhay Filipino Association and served its first President, a role he held with distinction for 15 years.

Driven by a vision to preserve and promote Philippines culture and traditions for future generations in Canada, he has tirelessly mentored and supported countless Filipino immigrants and newcomers, helping them adjust, integrate, and thrive in their new home.

Maria studied Instrumentation Engineering / Computerized Automation and Control at St. Lawrence College in Kingston. She worked for AMEC Engineering at Procter and Gamble, Brockville and Eastern Engineering.
She has been an active member of the Filipino Community in Kingston since 1990 to present. She voluntarily taught folk dances to all
