 Mabuhay Fil‑Can Inc. continues its commitment to serving communities both here in Canada and back home in the Philippines.

In July 19, 2026, in partnership with FO3 Matugas, the Fire Department, and the Secretary of Barangay Ladol, Alabel, Sarangani Province, we distributed relief goods to families affected by the recent earthquake.

Our mission remains the same: to stand with communities in times of need — wherever they may be.  
Maraming salamat to everyone who shared their blessings.

 It was a truly meaningful and humbling experience for Mabuhay Fil‑Can Inc. as Jomari Badilla & Family, Jergen Abby Samson, Meryl Samson, and Christina Mabborang partnered with Feed The People on July 14, 2026 to distribute free lunches to individuals experiencing homelessness in Kingston. 

What began as a simple act of service became a powerful reminder of the compassion and unity that strengthen our community.

With the support of the Mabuhay Fil‑Can Inc. Board of Directors, the team spent the day connecting with community members, offering meals, and sharing moments of kindness with those who need it most. In a city where an estimated 900 individuals face homelessness, this outreach highlighted how collective action—no matter how small—can bring comfort, dignity, and hope.

 On April 5, 2026,  Mabuhay Fil‑Can Inc. remains steadfast in its core mission of supporting both Filipinos and Canadians, including our fellow kababayan in the Philippines. Guided by these values, the Mabuhay Board of Directors continues to support public schools by prioritizing programs that directly uplift pupils and their families, from feeding initiatives to reading materials and essential family support.

Last month, we proudly partnered with Manticao Central School in Misamis Oriental for an outreach program that featured a bleacher project aimed at improving the school environment and enriching the daily experience of its pupils. 

This collaboration stands as a testament to our ongoing commitment to empowering communities not only in Canada but also in the Philippines, creating lasting and positive impact wherever it is needed most.

 On February 20, 2026,  

the Mabuhay Youth Ambassadors brought warmth, smiles, and community spirit to the youth at Kingston Youth Shelter!  Our ambassadors spent the day preparing and serving meals, engaging with the youth, and creating an atmosphere of care, joy, and togetherness.

This initiative reflects the heart of Mabuhay — giving back to our community, supporting those in need, and inspiring the next generation to lead with compassion. We are incredibly proud of our young volunteers for dedicating their time and energy to make this day meaningful.

A huge thank you to all the ambassadors who participated and helped make this event a success! Your kindness, enthusiasm, and commitment to service truly embody the spirit of Mabuhay Fil-Can Inc.

 On January 18, 2026, Mabuhay Fil-Can Inc. hosted a free Clothes Giveaway in Kingston, Ontario to support Filipinos in the community, especially newcomers. 

Despite the –16°C weather, community members showed remarkable resilience by attending the event, highlighting the meaningful impact of compassion and collective support. The initiative reaffirmed Mabuhay’s mission to uplift Filipinos and strengthen community connections in Kingston. 

 Established in 1999, Kingston Youth Shelter (KYS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young women and men ages 16–24 by providing temporary emergency shelter. In 2015, KYS expanded its services to include transitional housing and life-skills programming, further strengthening its mission to help youth build stability, independence, and a hopeful path forward.

Supporting and feeding youth at the shelter is a core focus of Mabuhay’s Youth Ambassadors, whose mission centers on compassion, community involvement, and meaningful service. Through ongoing partnerships and outreach efforts, the Youth Ambassadors aim to create a supportive environment where vulnerable young people feel valued, cared for, and empowered within the Kingston community.

 On January 13, 2026, the Mabuhay Youth Ambassadors launched their first community service initiative in partnership with Feed The People, distributing free lunches to individuals experiencing homelessness in Kingston, Ontario. 

Supported by the Mabuhay Fil-Can Inc. Board of Directors, the initiative highlighted compassion, unity, and the impact of collective action in addressing the needs of the estimated 900 individuals experiencing homelessness in the community. The organization extends sincere gratitude to all volunteers and donors whose generosity helped make this meaningful outreach possible. 

Mabuhay Fil-Can Inc. launched a fundraising effort to assist families affected by Typhoon Uwan in Luzon. Monetary donations were collected from members and supporters, which were directly sent to the affected families to help them recover and rebuild their lives. This initiative demonstrated the organization’s compassion and solidarity with those impacted by natural disasters, reinforcing its mission to extend help and hope wherever it is needed most.

 Mabuhay Fil-Can Inc. organized a fundraising initiative to support families affected by Typhoon Tino in the Philippines. The organization collected monetary donations from members and the community, which were directly forwarded to affected families in Cebu and Negros. This effort aimed to provide immediate financial assistance to help them recover from the disaster. The activity reflects the organization’s continued commitment to extend compassion, solidarity, and hope to those in need, especially during times of hardship.

On September 30, 2025, a 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck Cebu Province in the Philippines, causing widespread damage and displacing numerous families. In response, our community came together to provide much-needed support through a Donation Drive. Essential supplies, including food, water, clothing, and hygiene items, were collected to help affected families as they recover and rebuild their lives.

This initiative embodies the spirit of compassion and solidarity, demonstrating that even from afar, we can offer hope and comfort to those in need. Through collective effort, every donation contributes to making a meaningful difference — one heart, one family, one community at a time.
